Discussions, book signings,
and a literary cocktail reception

Located in the heart of the Tarn region, the Château de Scalibert is not merely a geographical location, but a place of listening, intelligence, slowness, and contemplation.

Rebuilt in the 18th century by a visionary woman, Madame Charlotte Zoé Prud’homme de Saint-Maur, Baroness of Scalibert, it has silently withstood the test of time, perched on the hillside like a promise.

Through patient and enlightened restoration, she not only breathed new life into the stones, but also reawakened a spirit—that of a place dedicated to the exchange of ideas and sensibilities, to sharing and inner inspiration.

It has once again become a place of character and elevation, where the stones still whisper the desire to open, to connect, to pass on knowledge.

It is in this spirit, from woman to woman, from builder to transmitter, that we have chosen to open this series with a singular voice: that of Blanche de Richemont, a writer of simplicity, a traveler of the soul, and a lover of silence.

She embodies this gentle, inner strength, this profound presence that resonates deeply with the spirit of the place.

Thus, this inaugural evening, on September 25th, hosted by Christine Bach, literary director and friend of the Château de Scalibert, opens much more than a series of meetings: it inaugurates a place of grounding, a space for the exchange of ideas, where something rare and essential breathes.

“To write is to inhabit the invisible.”

Blanche de Richemont

A philosopher of the soul, a traveler of the desert, Blanche de Richemont has been creating a demanding, luminous body of work for twenty years, rooted in simplicity and the quest for the essential.
