The Tomoe Room is the result of a family project…a journey to Japan…a land of tradition and modernity, rich in millennia of history…like this place…It will be a journey between Mount Fuji and its legendary landscapes, Kyoto, this imperial capital steeped in history, Osaka Castle…in search of the traces of Tomoe Gozen, “Lady Tomoe,” who, according to legend, was the first female samurai in the 12th century.
How could we not remember her strength, but also her gentleness, since she was also a lover, becoming a powerful symbol of the warrior woman in Japan… Yes, there are women like her…and it seemed important to us to remember her as well.
